One of the programs offered by OWWA : OWWA Education and Training

I worked in Japan as an English teacher since 2017 pa and that was because I applied in OWWA to be a member kasi marami akong nabasa na beneficial ang mga programang offer nito. So as a member I applied for their OWWA Education and Training. Sobrang laki ng tulong to be a part of OWWA kasi when I wanted to go outside of our country eh since member ako nagapply muna ako sa programa nila to have my training and para maturuan pa ako. Wala pa akong masyadong experience sa pagtratrabaho and with their program it really helped me throughout. I was trained well and marami akong natutunan during the training and yung mga orientation na inoffer nila, those are really helpful if you are about to work sa labas ng bansa.

Sobrang dali lang mag apply sa programs na offer ng OWWA kaya I highly encourage na maging member yung mga nagbabalak magtrabaho sa ibang bansa katulad ko kasi sobrang daming benepisyo na inooffer nila bago ka pa umalis sa bansa at habang nasa ibang bansa ka at hanggang makabalik ka. Dahil nga nagging member ako ng OWWA I felt like meron akong inaasahan kahit nasa Japan ako. They also covered my sister’s education kasi inapplyan ko for scholarship since it is one of many benefits I can get from being a member.

It really took time to be able to work outside the country I got fear and the neediness but still OWWA made it clear na they got me and given yung mga hotlines na pwedeng tawagan in times of emergency. Surely they would pick it up pag mayroong mga calls sakanila and minsan it takes time pero they answer. Being an English Teacher in Japan may have solved my problems financially and I know I wouldn’t have make it alone if OWWA didn’t trained me, a lot of lessons are given and they have taught me some of the tips to handle things.  Helping my family has been my goal and up until now I have managed to do so, moving forward has been my direction sometimes it’s rough but with the help of our government agencies like OWWA going through those hard times and having your back it what would keep you going on. Which is why being a member of OWWA is like having a huge perks on working outside the country.
