OWWA – Overseas Workers Welfare Association has established this program that is so called Reintegration program as this program suits what is currently happening all over the world since the pandemic has started. Overseas Filipino Workers abroad have been suffering for quite a while and this Reintegration Program would be of a big help to OFWs on returning back at their home country. With the use of this program for those OFWs that are OWWA members will receive financial assistance and training towards on how to rebuild their lives here in the Philippines.

I am one of the OFWs who have claimed the Reintegration Program offered by OWWA as part of their membership I recently went home due to some circumstances. Since the pandemic started I have been working on as a nurse in UK and things have been tough. “Dahil sa COVID-19 sobrang nag-ingat kami yung iba double shift pa just to cover some na nahahawaan na” Any medical allied is really in demand during this times pero sobrang exhausting pag wala nang napalit sayo to shift.

And then I prioritize myself after working I went home sa Pilipinas and also to have the Reintegration Program kasi under it eh Educaton Program Scholarship para sa kapatid ko and luckily she received the scholarship. Also job referrals were also done because of the program. A lot were a big help since I prioritize na bumalik sa pilipinas.

I also claimed for Balik Pinas! Balik Hanapbuhay! Program wherein financial assistance siya to rebuild things up. Also to start my family’s business this is really necessary kasi what would you do if mahawaan ka mas okay na secured that’s why I stopped working muna as a nurse sa UK. OWWA is really reliable at this time na kailangan mo, this pandemic has done a lot of damage to OFWs and yung iba not enough yung nasave na earnings, some lost their jobs too! That’s why OWWA is here to help OFWs sa emergency and yung mga di makauwi na member na OWWA they could avail suitable programs na inooffer nila. They can assist you through your flights, food, transportation and any emergency. It is really important to have your own business lalo na’t mahirap makahanap ng trabaho ngayon sa ibang bansa, big risk every time exposed to people who are sick. Prioritize muna sarili at pamilya and thankfully OWWA helped me when I got back here.
